Adirondacks, NY

Wow, what I saw today was gorgeous. The Fall colors were incredible. I could have taken a picture every 10 feet. I went across the Adirondacks in New York then through Vermont into New Hampshire. Due to time constants, I only have the New York pictures. I will post Vermont later.

The next 14 pictures are from Lake Placid.
Whiteface Mountain, used for the 1980 Winter Olympics downhill ski events.
Herb Brooks Arena were the "Miracle on Ice" took place. USA defeated Russia and went on to defeat Finland for the gold.

Could this be Jim Craig? Naaa, it's just me.
Outdoor Ice Track where Eric Heiden won 5 individual gold medals. At that point no one had won that many golds in one Olympics, summer or winter.
Veiw of ice track from inside the hockey arena
Downtown Lake Placid
Ski jumping towers. I didn't realize how tall they are.
